The Last Real Pink Floyd Concert |
|
RoIO Liner Notes:
Sourced and remastered by the Man of Leisure himself, Ranger Danalog.
This boot was first traded in 1999, and then "officially" released
by MoLM in the summer of 2000.
This roio is actually considered by most to be the very last "real"
Pink Floyd concert, and incidentally, it happens to be the first
remastered release by MoLM. In this context the word "real" means that this
was the last time the Waters, Gilmour, Mason and Wright lineup peformed
together. This date also happens to be the 30th and final performance of
the fabled Wall tour, performed at Earls Court in London.
This boot was first weeded out in audio (.cda) format in
September 2000 with some earlier audio copies having been
traded out by the three MoLM partners before.
However, this boot is now being recirculated as it has been archived to .shn
format to better preserve the original work of Danalog. This
release was painstakingly speed-corrected, edited, equalized and
bass enhanced. Three versions of the entire show were
burned to disc and tested before Dan settled on what was to become
the final product. In fact, this roio is a made up of the best pieces
and parts of those 3 recordings.
Rest assured not only is this boot one of the finer performances of the Wall, MoLM
believes it to be the finest "underground" edition of this historic concert in circulation.
What follows are the checksums for the original discs. (You're crazy bastards
for looking at 'em and we're crazy bastards for posting 'em.)
And yes, of course these tracks were extracted using EAC in secure
mode which is 99.9 percent accurate and
then compressed to shorten format using mkwACT.
